The Artcafé currently has two locations, one nestled just a ‘scones’ throw from the beach on the island of Mersea and the other in the ancient, pedestrianised centre of Colchester. Both cafés enjoy a terraced seating area for those lazy summer lunches, or on a winter’s day walk for a warm up with hot drinks and homemade cakes.

We’re open 9am-5pm daily. We have a fantastic breakfast menu until 11am, lunch until 3pm after which our afternoon menu offers homemade cakes and sandwiches, cream teas and superb coffees.
