The skate park is located on the village green between the School Gardens on Barfield Road and Reymead Wood. Since opening, the skate park has given the local youngsters a place to congregate and use their skateboards, bikes and scooters in a modern, safe enviroment. The addition has been controversial however with some believing it will create extra noise and litter on this popular green area. Others argue with the current graffiti covered ramp and play equipment not respected and the pavillion having been burned down by arsonists in the past, our youngsters don’t deserve this.
